Job Description

Saperstein Orthodontics is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterile Technician to join our team. As a Sterile Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and sterility of our dental equipment and instruments. You will be responsible for decontamination, cleaning, and proper assembly of instruments, as well as the management of sterile supplies.

We are looking for a candidate who is professional, highly motivated, and able to work in a team-oriented environment. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for this role. If you are passionate about maintaining a safe and sterile dental environment, we would love to hear from you.

This will be a part-time position and will be Monday- Wednesday.

Responsibilities:

  • Decontaminate and clean dental equipment and instruments
  • Ensure the cleanliness and sterility of all instruments
  • Accurately assemble instrument sets based on established count sheets
  • Effectively use materials and supplies while minimizing waste
  • Appropriately prepare and package single instrument items
  • Store, deliver, and manage sterile supplies using aseptic technique
  • Evaluate functioning of equipment and report any malfunctions
  • Follow through to ensure appropriate repairs and maintenance are performed
  • Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing treatment rooms after each use
  • Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Physically capable of transporting supplies and equipment
  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of dental clinical operations and terminology is a plus
