This position is responsible assisting the dentist in the clinical treatment of patients and the effectiveness of the activities in the dental center. Working chair side as the dentist examines and treats patients. Handing instruments and materials to the dentist. Sterilizing and disinfecting instruments and equipment. Instructing patient/parent on post-operative and general oral health care. The ideal candidate will meet the following minimum requirements: • High school diploma. • Previous dental assisting experience required • Compliance with state dental practice requirements (i.e., X-ray requirements, OSHA training, etc.). • Certified to perform expanded function where allowed by state regulations. • Diversity of responsibilities requires the ability to effectively manage more than one activity at a time. • Basic computer skills. • Ability to work well with children of all ages and adapt to different needs and techniques • Ability to work under pressure and who understands and follows the chain of command. • Ability to work professionally with confidential, proprietary data and information while maintaining confidentiality. • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels; both internal and external. • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work within the established policies, procedures and practices prescribed by the organization. • English/Spanish bilingual preferred We reward, value and invest greatly in our team members.
