Dentist - (Dentistry) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 09/30/2013Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

Private Practice in Southern Wisconsin looking for a Locum Tenens General Dentist to cover their office starting September 30, 2013 until November 21, 2013. The General Dentist will work Monday through Thursday and will be responsible for all aspects of general dentistry to include: filling (composite), extractions (simple), crowns (porcelain), and root canals (anterior).

General dentists (locum tenens) diagnose, prevent and treat problems associated the mouth, such as plaque decay, cavities, and the repair of fractured teeth. They are usually the first point of contact for patients with oral health concerns, referring them to specialists such as endodontists when needed. Dentists are trained to use a wide variety of medical equipment, such as x-ray machines and drills, and are able to diagnose and treat a plethora of oral conditions.

Required Qualifications
The practice consists of 5 operatories with 3 for the dentist and 2 for hygiene. The general Dentist will see 80% adults with few children and the youngest child being 10 years of age. Majority of patients are scheduled with few walk-in including emergencies.

Preferred Qualifications
You will be required to see 10+ hygiene checks and 8+ procedure patients per day. The dentist will work Monday 9am-6pm, Tuesday 8:30am-5:30pm, and Wednesday and Thursday 7am-3pm with time for lunch on all days. The General Dentist will also need to be comfortable with dentures.
