Dentist - (Dentistry) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
Group practice in Roswell, NM looking for dentist to help at their practice. This position would start out temporary for 2-3 months and then this dentist would go permanent as an employee as long as it is a good fit for both parties.
General dentists (locum tenens) diagnose, prevent and treat problems associated the mouth, such as plaque decay, cavities, and the repair of fractured teeth. They are usually the first point of contact for patients with oral health concerns, referring them to specialists such as endodontists when needed. Dentists are trained to use a wide variety of medical equipment, such as x-ray machines and drills, and are able to diagnose and treat a plethora of oral conditions.
Required Qualifications
The practice consists of 2 operatories per dentist (8 total), 2 dental assistants per dentist, and would be doing 10+ procedures per day plus hygiene and exams.
Preferred Qualifications
This dentist will be doing fillings, extractions, dentures, crown, no endo. You will see 40% Medicaid, 20% private pay, and 40% insurance patients. For a dentist to work in this facility you will need your Medicaid #.
