Dentist - (Dentistry) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

Community Health Center in Southern Louisiana looking for Locum Dentist to cover their clinic for 3 months. They are looking for a general dentist to cover Monday-Friday in the monthly of May. Coverage Dates: May 1-30, 2014 Monday through Friday.

General dentists (locum tenens) diagnose, prevent and treat problems associated the mouth, such as plaque decay, cavities, and the repair of fractured teeth. They are usually the first point of contact for patients with oral health concerns, referring them to specialists such as endodontists when needed. Dentists are trained to use a wide variety of medical equipment, such as x-ray machines and drills, and are able to diagnose and treat a plethora of oral conditions.

Required Qualifications
Ideally this facility is looking for full time long term coverage and the general dentist can start as soon as possible. Possibility of extending after the 3 month commitment.

- 16 Operatories
-1 1/2 Dental Assistants per dentist
- 3 dentist in the facility
- 60% Scheduled
- 40% Walk-ins
- 60% Adults
- 40% ages 0-21
-Inclusive of pregnant women that will need dental screenings
-Need Medicaid Number
-Dentrix software is used in the Dental clinic

Preferred Qualifications
A typical week consists of working Monday through Friday.
Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday: 8:00am to 5:00pm Tuesday from 10:00am to 7:00pm
Friday from 8:00am to 12:00pm.
You will do all aspects of general dentistry seeing on average 18 patients per day.
