Air Force Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons treat patients around the world, have access to the latest equipment and are free to employ the latest techniques. And since they don\'t have to worry about insurance approvals and other red tape, they\'re able to focus squarely on patient care.

Career Tasks
•Examine, diagnose and treat abnormalities of oral and maxillofacial structures
•Direct oral and maxillofacial surgery services
•Examine patients, interpret and evaluate radiographs, prescribe and perform surgery and provide consultation services
Becoming a Direct Commission Officer
To ease your transition into the Air Force, you\'ll enter a five-week training regimen designed to educate you on the ways of both the military and military healthcare. You\'ll participate in physical conditioning five days a week, leadership training and classroom studies.
