Job Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures

• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment

• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records using EMR systems

• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other federal regulations

• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices

• Manage inventory and order dental supplies

• Support administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications

Required:

• State License as a Dental Assistant in Connecticut

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Experience with EMR charting and HIPAA compliance

Preferred:

• Prior experience in a dental clinic or medical center setting

• Familiarity with inventory management and administrative support
