Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Dentist in rendering patient care chairside
  • Maintaining inventory control in the operatories where treatment is rendered by the Provider
  • Adhering to OSHA, HIPAA, and CDC guidelines
  • Patient interactions related to scheduling, follow up treatment and record keeping
  • Maintaining public area appearance

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Depending on the state you will work in:
  • NJ/MD Dental Radiologic Technologist (DRT)) license or PA Radiation Health and Safety certificate or willing to pursue licensure immediately required.
  • NJ/MD/PA Certified Dental Assistant certificate preferred
  • MD Dental Assistant Qualified in General Duties certification preferred
  • 1+ years work experience as a Dental Assistant preferred
  • Experience using Dentrix, Outlook, Word, Excel preferred
  • Easily able to learn new technologies and systems required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Requires some flexibility in scheduling, such as the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
