Job Description
We currently have an opportunity for an Oral Surgery Dental Assistant to join our team! The schedule for this position is 8AM-5PM Monday-Thursday and this position will travel to practices within the Nashville metro area.
Responsibilities:
- Provide superior chair-side clinical support to Endodontist by charting, patient education, operatory set-up and clean-up
- Manage patient flow by responding to changes, prioritizing the next Operatory room for the Doctors and update Doctors on patient’s status.
- Welcomes and greets patients in the reception area and provides a personal introduction
- Takes and processes X-Rays
- Performs friendly patient hand-offs
- Enters and updates patient treatment plans at the direction of the treating Doctor using the company operational system.
- Escorts the patient to check-out.
- Completes sterilization processes for equipment and Operatory
- Monitors all laboratory cases and ensure they are ready for the next day’s schedule
Qualifications:
- Dental Assisting Certification from an accredited school
- Endo assisting experience is required in this role; 1 year required, 3 years preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- MUST HAVE: X-Ray certification, or the ability to acquire in a timely manner
- Coronal Polishing and Nitrous Oxide certificates preferred
- Detail-oriented with strong patient focus
- Partner with team and contribute to welcoming environment for patients
