Responsibilities

Below is a list of your responsibilities as a X-Ray Technician with Corizon Health.

  • Maintains a working knowledge of radiation and electrical hazards to prevent exposure of inmates and staff.
  • Schedules inmates for on-site and off-site radiological services.
  • Responds to emergencies and critical incidents within the institution.
  • Maintains accurate system for identifying, filing and recording films for proper diagnosis.
  • Prepares and maintains chemicals for developing process.
  • Checks and maintains equipment in clean, proper, safe working order.
  • Positions patients properly for exposure/development of film for proper diagnosis.

Experience & Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited training program and registered in the state as required.
  • Two years radiological technology experience preferred.
  • Subject to initial and ongoing security clearance requirements.
  • Required to exert up to 50 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects including the human body.
  • Required to kneel, stoop, crouch and/or crawl occasionally. Frequent walking throughout site; to include walking up and down flights of stairs.
  • Must have and maintain sufficient strength, agility, and endurance to perform during stressful (physical, mental and emotional) situations encountered on the job.
  • Occasional running when responding to emergencies; must be able to perform BLS.

A background check, security clearance and drug screening are required for this role.
