General Dentist Opportunity - Sedalia/Warsaw, MO (Home of Truman Reservoir, 2020 Great Places to live in Missouri)

Katy Trail Community Health is seeking a General Dentist to work at both our Sedalia and Warsaw location. This dentist will provide primary comprehensive and emergency oral health services to health center patients. The dentist assumes responsibility for quality of oral health services rendered to patients. This position assures alliance of organization mission with oral health needs of the underserved members of the community. The dentist must comply with KTCH's policies and procedures regarding immunization, personnel, infection control, confidentiality, drug-free workplace and other applicable polices.


Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Diagnostics, including oral screenings and caries risk assessment, radiographic procedures, and treatment planning.
Preventive care, including sealants, oral prophylaxis, fluoride varnish, and caries management
Emergency care, including palliative and definitive treatment for dental emergencies
Restorative care, including minimally invasive and traditional restoratives, oral surgery, and endodontics
Rehabilitative care, including fixed prosthetics and removable prosthetics
Maintains patient's record of treatment. Responsible for complete and thorough clinical chart record keeping in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
Active engagement and participation in quality improvement of the oral health of patients
Collaboration with other members of the care team and specialists to ensure best care to each patient.
Provides inpatient dental services within scope of training and ability.
Serves in rotation for after-hours call system.
Performs other duties as assigned which are appropriate for position quality care improvement, and program requirements
Excellent attendance record

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited school of dentistry and holds current license as a dentist in the State of Missouri, as well as current DEA, and BNDD
Demonstrated professional commitment to providing services to under-served persons in the community and priority populations
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
