ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Read and interpret doctors’ prescription and preferences, following exact instructions.
• Reject received work from previous departments that is unfit to continue.
• Ensure case is completed in time to ensure other departments meet the Red Date.
• Applies porcelain powder over prosthesis frameworks or copings using brushes and spatulas.
• Applies porcelain in layers to arrive at the precise shape and color of a tooth or teeth.
• Load newly constructed teeth into porcelain furnaces in order to bake the porcelain onto the metal framework.
• Adjust the shape and color of product with subsequent grinding and addition of porcelain to achieve a sealed finish.
• Fix or add porcelain to contacts or occlusion as needed.
• Stain and Glaze.
• Follow the Code of Safe Work Practices.
• Other duties as may be assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• Working ability to read handwritten English in order to read doctor's prescriptions as well as the ability to read and understand laboratory slips and terminology.
• 3 to 5 years’ experience
