Examine, diagnose, and treats or prescribes treatment for personnel who require management of complex occlusal problems or who require replacement of missing teeth and associated structures through the fabrication and placement of fixed, removable, or semi-fixed maxillofacial prostheses.

Active Duty Prosthodontist benefits include:

Requirements include for Active Duty Prosthodontist
• US citizen
• May apply within last 12 months of an accredited dental school (ADA) in US, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or Canada
• Must possess a DDS or DMD degree and a graduate of an ADA- accredited dental school from the fifty United States, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or Canada
• Must be less than 42 years of age upon initial Active Duty appointment (waivers are granted on a case by case basis)
• New graduate applying must show proof of sitting for license prior to commissioning
• Working dentists must show proof of Federal DEA License
• Completion of an Advanced Specialty Education Program in Prosthodontics which is accredited by the American Dental Association and acceptable to The Surgeon General.

Army Reserve Prosthodontist benefits include:
• Paid continuing education
• Able to drill where you live
• No-cost or low-cost medical and dental care for you and your family
• Commissary and post exchange shopping privileges
• Training to become a leader in your field
• Special pay up to $25,000 annually less taxes
• Maybe eligible for the student loan repayment of up to $250,000 less taxes
• If currently enrolled in an accredited residency program of either Comprehensive Dentists, Periodontists, Endodontists, Prosthodontists, Public Health Dentists, or Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Specialized Training Assistance Program (STRAP) will grant over $2,200 stipend a month while in residency.

Requirements include for Army Reserve Prosthodontist:
• US citizen
• May apply within last 12 months of an accredited dental school (ADA) in US, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or Canada
• Must possess a DDS or DMD degree and a graduate of an ADA- accredited dental school from the fifty United States, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or Canada
• Must be less than 47 years of age upon initial Active Duty appointment (waivers are granted on a case by case basis)
• New graduate applying must show proof of sitting for license prior to commissioning
• Working dentists must show proof of Federal DEA License
