Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA)

Location: Willoughby Hills, Ohio

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures

• Perform expanded functions in accordance with Ohio state regulations

• Prepare and maintain treatment rooms and instruments

• Sterilize and organize dental instruments and materials

• Take and process dental radiographs (x-rays)

• Provide patients with post-operative instructions and oral hygiene education

• Accurately document treatment information in patient charts

• Ensure compliance with OSHA and infection control standards

• Assist with patient flow and support the front office as needed

Qualifications

• EFDA certification required in the state of Ohio

• Radiology certification required

• Excellent communication and patient service skills

• Strong attention to detail and professional demeanor
