Client: Indian Health Service
Location: Fort Yates, ND
Dates coverage is needed: asap – ongoing (min 6 months commitment rqr’d) Schedule/Shifts Times: Monday – Thur; 6am - 4:30pm Patient Volume: 8-10 patients per day average Patient Ages: all ages (majority adults) Support Staff: yes – Dentists, Hygienist, admin Type of Charting: EMR – Dentrix
Requirements: 1-year Dental Assistant experience (preferred) Reason for Need: staff shortage Credentialing Timeframe: 2-3 weeks on average Additional Info: *** any State License *** Job Duties:
- Answering phones and scheduling appointments
- Updating and maintaining patient dental records
- Overseeing patient check-in procedures
- Coding and preparing insurance forms.
- Scheduling referral and testing appointments
- General office administration
- Showing patients to their exam rooms
- Preparing patients for procedures and/or surgeries
- Assisting with procedures such as fillings, crowns, and extractions
- Making dental impressions
- Sterilizing dental tools and equipment
- Post-procedure clean-up
- Generally chairside assisting of dentists and hygienists
