Job Description

SALT Dental Partners is seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Dental Assistant to join our team at Brewer Dental Center. As a Lead Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for providing chairside assistance to dentists, ensuring efficient and smooth workflow, and supervising and training other dental assistants. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent clinical knowledge, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. You will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative and supportive environment with a focus on continuous learning and professional growth.

In this role, you will assist with various dental procedures, prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, take X-rays, and provide chairside support to the dentists. You will also educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the dentist during dental procedures
  • Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
  • Take and develop dental x-rays
  • Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
  • Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring models and trimming impressions
  • Schedule patient appointments and maintain patient records
  • Manage inventory of dental supplies and order new supplies as needed
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations
  • Supervising experience (Required)
  • Medical coding
  • Leadership (Required)

Pay ranges are from $19.00 - $21.00/hour

Requirements

  • Radiation Health & Safety Certification (Required)
  • Minimum of 2 years of dental experience
  • X-ray certification
  • Experience in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge
  • Knowledge of medical coding and billing procedures
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Familiarity with dental software and technology
