Dental Hygienist
Are you looking for an exciting new career opportunity? ATC has an immediate need for a DENTAL HYGIENIST to work under contract for the Michigan Department of Corrections. Our DENTAL HYGIENIST would be responsible for conducting oral examinations, performing dental prophylaxis and carrying out other duties related to dental health and disease prevention.
Dental Hygienist Location: Newberry Correctional, 13747 Co Rd 428, Newberry, MI 49868
ASAP Start; Full-Time Contract - Days 7am – 3:30 pm
Pay Rate: up to $34/ hour
Dental Hygienist Job Description:
- Tooth polishing, scaling, root planning, stain, plaque and calculus from tooth surfaces
- Provide general oral health education
- Brushing, flossing, dental cleaning and oral medication use
- Expose/process dental radiographs
- Use bite wings, periopical films & related equipment – alert dentist of observed findings
- Identify potential diseases and tooth decay
- Assist dentist during restorative, surgical and endodontic procedures
- Create and maintain dental treatment charts and records, appointment scheduling
