Job Description

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our team at a mission-driven Federally Qualified Health Center in the Greater Austin, TX Area. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering preventive and therapeutic dental care to a diverse and underserved patient population, while promoting oral health education and disease prevention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform dental cleanings, periodontal assessments, scaling and root planing, and preventive treatments
  • Take and review dental radiographs (X-rays)
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, nutrition, and disease prevention
  • Assist dentists with exams and treatment planning as needed
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system
  • Follow infection control protocols and ensure compliance with all safety standards
  • Support community outreach and oral health education initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
  • Active Texas Registered Dental Hygienist license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • Strong commitment to serving underserved and diverse populations
  • Excellent communication and patient education skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly rate or salary, starting at $55/hr (based on experience)
