A private, patient-focused dental practice in Baldwin, NY is looking for a friendly and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our team.

Schedule

Part-time – 2 days per week

• Monday is required: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Tuesday OR Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Some flexibility with hours may be possible

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive dental hygiene care, including patient assessments, dental cleanings, and periodontal therapy
• Perform thorough patient evaluations and document findings accurately
• Educate patients on oral health, proper hygiene techniques, and preventive care
• Provide personalized recommendations to help patients maintain optimal oral health
• Assist the doctor with diagnosis and treatment planning as needed
• Complete accurate charting and documentation using Dentrix
• Maintain a warm, professional, and compassionate chairside manner
• Help create a comfortable and positive patient experience
• Communicate effectively with the dentist and dental team
• Work collaboratively with the clinical and front office teams

Qualifications

• Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in good standing
• Minimum of 1 year of dental hygiene experience preferred
• Friendly, outgoing, and compassionate personality
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong clinical skills and attention to detail
• Patient-focused approach to care
• Team-oriented and dependable
• Comfortable using modern dental technology and dental practice software
• Experience with Dentrix is a plus
