Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Dentist for a locum tenens position at a private practice in California. This 120-day assignment begins on 04/21/2025, with a flexible Monday to Friday schedule from 8am to 5pm. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with general dentistry procedures, including root canals, extractions, and implants. As the primary provider, the dentist will be responsible for managing a diverse range of dental cases and providing comprehensive oral care to patients. There is also potential for assignment extension.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform general dentistry procedures

• Conduct root canal treatments

• Carry out dental extractions

• Place dental implants

• Diagnose and treat various dental conditions

• Develop and implement treatment plans

• Perform routine dental examinations and cleanings

• Administer local anesthetics as needed

• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Dentrix system

• Collaborate with dental assistants and other staff members

• Ensure compliance with all safety and infection control protocols

• Manage patient flow and appointments efficiently


Additional Information:

• California dental license required

• Experience as a sole provider preferred

• Strong skills in root canals, extractions, and implants essential

• Excellent communication and patient care skills

• Ability to work independently and manage a diverse patient load
