Job Description

We are seeking a skilled General Dentist for a locum tenens position at a dental clinic in Illinois. This 100-day assignment, starting 07/21/2025, requires coverage Monday through Thursday, 8 AM to 5 PM. The dentist will provide comprehensive dental care, including general, cosmetic, emergency, and restorative dentistry. Responsibilities include performing dental implants, dentures, bridges, crowns, inlays, onlays, fillings, sealants, and implant restorations. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with a wide range of dental procedures and aim for a case acceptance rate of 65% or higher. This role offers diverse dental care experiences with the potential for extension beyond the initial assignment period.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform general dentistry procedures

• Provide cosmetic dentistry services

• Conduct emergency dental treatments

• Offer restorative dentistry solutions

• Perform dental implant procedures

• Create and fit dentures and bridges

• Prepare and place crowns, inlays, and onlays

• Apply fillings and sealants

• Conduct implant restorations

• Develop and present treatment plans to patients

• Aim for a 65% or higher case acceptance rate

• Educate patients on oral health and preventive care

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Dentrix software

• Collaborate with dental assistants and support staff

• Ensure compliance with all relevant dental and ethical guidelines

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
