Job Description

Experienced General Dentist needed for a 26-day locum tenens assignment at a Correctional Facility in Wyoming. Starting 07/07/2025, this part-time position offers flexible scheduling options, including 2 days per week with either 7-8 hour shifts or 3-4 days of 9-10 hour shifts every other week. The dentist will be responsible for providing comprehensive dental care, including assessments, radiographic exams, and various treatments such as oral surgery, restorative dentistry, and periodontal therapy. This role requires proficiency in emergency dental procedures and the ability to manage overall dental services for patients. Experience with TechCare EHR is preferred. A dental assistant is shared with another facility. This opportunity offers potential for extension beyond the initial contract period.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform comprehensive dental assessments and radiographic exams

• Provide a full range of dental treatments within the scope of general dentistry

• Conduct emergency dental procedures, including oral surgery

• Deliver restorative dentistry and periodontal therapy

• Manage overall dental care for patients

• Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records using TechCare

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed

• Adhere to all facility policies and procedures

• Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and provide compassionate care in a correctional setting

• Flexibility to work varying shift schedules as needed


Additional Information:

• Must be licensed to practice dentistry in Wyoming
