Job Description

We are seeking a Dentist for a 52-week locum tenens assignment in Arizona starting Aug 4, 2025. This role offers a schedule of 4x 10-hour shifts or 5x 8-hour shifts per week, focusing on general dentistry practices including emergency treatments and comprehensive patient care.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Maintain overall dental care responsibility for the management of dental services to each patient.
  • Perform dental assessments, radiographic exams, and dental treatment, including emergency treatments such as oral surgery, restorative dentistry, and periodontal therapy.
  • Formulate working diagnoses, develop and implement treatment plans, and evaluate/modify therapeutic regimens to promote positive patient outcomes.
  • Evaluate patients returning from offsite dental visits.
  • Participate in training and orientation of healthcare staff.
  • Provide oral hygiene education and discharge instructions to all patients seen.
  • Supervise and coach dental assistants.
  • Ensure sterilization and disinfection of equipment.

Additional Information
  • Required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
  • Licensed to practice in Arizona.
