Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Dentist for a 26-day locum tenens assignment in Wyoming, starting Sep 29, 2025. This opportunity involves flexible scheduling with day shifts, typically 7:00am to 3:30pm, to provide comprehensive dental care in a high-volume clinical setting. Candidates proficient in exodontia are preferred but not required, and experience in busy clinics is highly valued.

  • Provider Type Needed: Dentist
  • Schedule: Day shifts, typically 7:00am to 3:30pm; flexible days to cover when the current locum is off (he covers two 10-hour shifts per week and takes off one week per month)

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Maintain overall dental care responsibility for the management of dental services to each patient
  • Perform dental assessments, radiographic exams, and treatment, including emergency procedures such as oral surgery, restorative dentistry, and periodontal therapy within the scope of general dentistry
  • Formulate working diagnoses, develop and implement treatment plans, and evaluate or modify therapeutic regimens to promote positive patient outcomes
  • Evaluate all patients returning from offsite dental visits
  • Participate in training and orientation of healthcare staff
  • Provide oral hygiene education and discharge instructions to all patients seen
  • Supervise and coach dental assistants
  • Ensure sterilization and disinfection of equipment

Additional Information
  • Wyoming dental license required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and DEA certification required
  • Preference for candidates experienced in high-volume clinics
  • Familiarity with TechCare EMR system
