Job Description
We are seeking a Pediatric Dentist for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in New Mexico, starting Nov 24, 2025. This opportunity features day shifts, Monday through Friday, providing care for a high volume of pediatric dental patients. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of pediatric dentistry experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details

- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide comprehensive dental care for pediatric patients
- Manage a high patient volume, up to 40-50 patients per day
- Perform examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning
- Administer conscious sedation as appropriate
- Educate patients and guardians on preventive dental care
- Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software
- Collaborate with dental team members to deliver quality care
Additional Information
- Minimum 1 year of pediatric dentistry experience required
- Must have Medicaid eligibility for credentialing in New Mexico
- Active NM dental license required
- Certifications required: Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and conscious sedation
