Position Overview
An established, mission-driven Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Lowville, NY is seeking a full-time Dentist to join its growing team. This opportunity is ideal for a provider who is passionate about serving diverse communities and delivering high-quality primary and restorative dental care to patients of all ages.
This location currently operates as a solo practice, with a planned retirement in April, creating a strong opportunity for growth. The organization is positioned to support one to two dentists at this site.
New graduates and experienced providers are encouraged to apply.
Schedule
Flexible 4-day schedule available:
- Monday–Thursday
- Four 10-hour days
Compensation & Incentives
- $205,000 Base Salary
- $10,000 Productivity Bonus
- Up to $10,000 Sign-On Bonus
- Negotiable package for the right candidate
- Eligible for Student Loan Repayment Programs due to FQHC status

Clinical Support & Facility
- 5 Newly Renovated Operatories
- Equipped with modern ADEC dental equipment
- Strong clinical and administrative support team:
- Strong Mentorship program with the equipment and staff to perform advanced procedures
Support Staff Includes:
- 2 Dental Assistants (Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday)
- 3 Dental Assistants (Thursday)
- 1 RDH (Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday)
- 2 RDHs (Thursday)
- Dedicated Front Desk Support (Monday–Friday)
Patient Population
- Treats all ages (pediatric through geriatric)
- Diverse patient population
- High community demand for services
Clinical Responsibilities
- Hygiene exams
- Basic restorative procedures (amalgam & composite fillings)
- Extractions
- Comprehensive primary dental care
Patient Volume:
- 10–15 doctor patients per day (not including hygiene exams)
- Additional 10–11 hygiene patients per RDH scheduled that day
Requirements
- Active New York State Dental License
- Current registration with the NYS Board of Regents
- Current CPR Certification
- Professional liability coverage
- Eligible to participate as a Medicaid provider (NY Medicaid required; organization willing to assist with credentialing)
- Must meet internal credentialing policies and health requirements
Experience:
- Prior experience in primary dental care preferred
- Comfortable treating both children and adults
- Ability to work with patients of diverse backgrounds
- Strong organizational skills
- Positive attitude and strong communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with clinic staff and provide supervision when necessary
