Position Summary
We are seeking a Dental Director to lead a high-performing oral health program within a mission-driven Integrated Health Center in Michigan.
This role combines clinical practice with strategic and operational leadership, providing oversight of the dental department while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. The Dental Director will play a key role in advancing access to care, improving outcomes, and supporting a collaborative, team-based model that serves diverse and underserved populations.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Program Development
- Provide leadership, direction, and strategic vision for the dental program
- Lead, mentor, and support dentists, hygienists, and support staff
- Develop and implement policies, protocols, and quality initiatives
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care as a practicing dentist
- Ensure adherence to evidence-based clinical standards
- Oversee quality assurance and clinical outcomes
Operations & Compliance
- Oversee daily operations of the dental department
- Ensure compliance with HRSA, OSHA, CDC, and state regulations
- Monitor productivity, patient flow, and access to care
- Support budgeting, staffing, and program growth initiatives
Collaboration & Community Engagement
- Work closely with medical and behavioral health leaders in an integrated care model
- Participate in outreach and community health initiatives
- Build and maintain partnerships with community stakeholders

Requirements
Required Qualifications
- DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school
- Active or eligible Michigan dental license
- DEA registration (or eligibility)
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
- Experience in an FQHC, community health center, or public health setting
- Experience serving Medicaid and underserved populations
