General Dentist (Pediatric Focus) – Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)

Position Overview

A mission-driven Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Dallas is seeking an experienced General Dentist to join its growing dental team. This opportunity is ideal for a provider with at least two years of clinical experience who is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to underserved populations, including pediatric patients.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable treating patients of all ages, with a strong emphasis on pediatric dentistry, preventive care, and patient education. Providers who thrive in collaborative, community-focused environments are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive general dental services to pediatric and adult patients
• Perform exams, diagnoses, restorative procedures, extractions, and preventive treatments
• Educate patients and families on oral hygiene and preventative dental care
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic dental records
• Collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists, and medical providers to ensure coordinated patient care
• Adhere to all clinical protocols, infection control standards, and FQHC compliance requirements
• Support the organization’s mission of improving access to care within the community

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school
• Active or eligible Texas dental license
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience preferred
• Comfortable treating pediatric patients and managing a high-volume patient panel
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience working in community health, public health, or underserved settings preferred
• Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus
