Position Overview
A mission-driven Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Dallas is seeking an experienced General Dentist to join its growing dental team. This opportunity is ideal for a provider with at least two years of clinical experience who is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to underserved populations, including pediatric patients.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable treating patients of all ages, with a strong emphasis on pediatric dentistry, preventive care, and patient education. Providers who thrive in collaborative, community-focused environments are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive general dental services to pediatric and adult patients
- Perform exams, diagnoses, restorative procedures, extractions, and preventive treatments
- Educate patients and families on oral hygiene and preventative dental care
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic dental records
- Collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists, and medical providers to ensure coordinated patient care
- Adhere to all clinical protocols, infection control standards, and FQHC compliance requirements
- Support the organization’s mission of improving access to care within the community
Qualifications
- DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school
- Active or eligible Texas dental license
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience preferred
- Comfortable treating pediatric patients and managing a high-volume patient panel
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working in community health, public health, or underserved settings preferred
- Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus
