Locum Pediatric Dentist / General Dentist | Pueblo, CO

An established, high-energy pediatric practice in Pueblo, CO, is seeking a compassionate dentist to provide coverage for a team member on sick leave this August and September, with the option to extend. The clinic specializes in treating pediatric and young adult patients, providing a welcoming environment focused on accessible community care.

The practitioner will step into a highly organized workflow supported by three experienced hygienists and one dedicated dental assistant.

The Role:

• Location: Pueblo, CO 81001
• Schedule: Thursdays and Fridays (August and September, with an option to extend)
• Hours: Thursdays 7:30 AM – 1:00 PM, Fridays 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Patient Volume: 30–40 patients per day (including hygiene checks)
• Clinical Scope: Recall exams, scaling, stainless steel crowns (SSC), simple extractions, sealants, fillings, and space maintainers. Thursdays are dedicated general anesthesia days for sedated patients aged 2–7 (including approximately 10% special needs).
• Tech Stack: Curve Hero
• Preferred Skills: Comfort and experience working with patients under general anesthesia are required for the Thursday shifts; PALS certification is preferred but not required.
• Compensation: Competitive pay rate + comprehensive malpractice insurance coverage. Round-trip travel and lodging accommodations are fully provided.

What is Needed:

• Credentials: Active Colorado Dental License, current BLS certification, and active enrollment in Colorado Medicaid and Delta Dental. (DEA is not required).
• Onboarding: 2–3 days fast-track onboarding.
• Practice Fit: The ideal candidate is a patient, adaptable clinician who is highly comfortable managing pediatric cases and working alongside an anesthesia team to deliver efficient, gentle care.
