Job Details:

Responsibilities

• Perform general dentistry procedures including examinations, cleanings, fillings, crowns, and root canal therapy with precision and care
• Conduct patient assessments to determine treatment needs while explaining procedures clearly and compassionately
• Utilize dental terminology accurately to communicate diagnoses and treatment plans effectively
• Assist with oral surgery procedures such as dental extractions and other surgical interventions following aseptic techniques
• Implement infection control protocols in accordance with HIPAA regulations and industry standards to ensure patient safety
• Maintain accurate medical documentation, medical records, and dental records using practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver four-handed dentistry for efficient patient care and comfort
• Use medical imaging tools to diagnose issues related to anatomy knowledge and plan appropriate treatments
• Stay current with advancements in pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and other specialties relevant to general dentistry practice

Qualifications

• Valid state license to practice dentistry as an Associate Dentist or equivalent credential
• Proven experience in dental office or clinic settings with proficiency in dental fabrication, root canal therapy, and dental extractions
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical documentation standards, and infection control practices
• Familiarity with electronic health records systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is highly preferred
• Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs thoroughly and communicate effectively
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality and privacy of patient information
• Ability to work efficiently within a team environment while maintaining high standards of clinical excellence
• Prior experience in pediatric dentistry or working with diverse patient populations is a plus
