Locum General Dentist – 2–3 Month Assignment | Sioux Center, IA

A dental practice in Sioux Center is seeking a General Dentist for a 2–3 month assignment, starting as soon as credentialing is complete. The practice serves children and adults, with digital technology and interpreter support available.

The support team includes five dental assistants, a coordinator, two receptionists, a consultant, an interpreter, and one dental hygienist.

The Role:

• Location: Sioux Center, IA 51250
• Schedule: Monday–Friday
• Hours: Scheduling available between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.; specific shifts to be confirmed
• Patient Volume: Reported daily volume ranges from 6–10 scheduled patients plus approximately eight hygiene checks to 12–14 patients; expected scheduling to be confirmed
• Patient Population: Approximately 60% children and 40% adults
• Clinical Scope: Extractions required; composite fillings, crowns, bridges, pediatric stainless steel crowns, removable prosthodontics, basic endodontics, and digital impressions
• Tech Stack: Dentrix Enterprise, TRIOS 6 scanner, handheld and wall-mounted X-ray units, PAN/CBCT, and an intraoral camera
• Preferred Skills: Comfortable treating children and adults across the listed procedures
• Compensation: Competitive pay. Lodging and mileage reimbursement or a rental car provided. Flight reimbursement may be considered for the right candidate.

What is Needed:

• Credentials: Active Iowa dental license, current BLS certification, and active Iowa Medicaid enrollment; DEA registration highly preferred
• Onboarding: Credentialing typically takes 6–12 weeks; start as soon as approved
• Practice Fit: A dentist confident performing extractions and collaborating with a clinical team serving a predominantly pediatric patient population
