Dentist Locum Opportunity in VA

We are seeking a General Dentist to join a well-established, high-volume dental practice in Tazewell, Virginia. This is an excellent opportunity for a dentist who is comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment and treating a broad range of patients.

The position is available for an ASAP start and is expected to be an ongoing need.

Schedule

• Monday–Thursday: 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
• 1st and 3rd Fridays: 8:30 AM–12:00 PM
• Flexible scheduling based on provider comfort and patient volume

Practice & Patient Volume

• Established, high-volume practice
• Approximately 18 hygiene checks and 14–16 operative patients per day at full volume
• Patient volume can be adjusted based on the dentist's comfort level
• Treats patients of all ages
• Fast-paced clinical environment

Clinical Responsibilities

The ideal candidate should be comfortable providing a broad range of general dentistry services, including:

• Child and adult cleanings
• Restorations
• Extractions
• Anterior and premolar root canals
• Crowns and bridges
• Partial and complete denture deliveries and follow-up care
• Stainless steel crowns
• Pulpotomies

Patient & Payer Mix

• Combination of Medicaid and PPO patients
• Virginia Medicaid experience/participation is required
• Approximately 60% of the patient population is Medicaid

Team & Support

The practice has a full front-desk team and clinical support available to assist with patient care and workflow. The team is accustomed to working collaboratively in a busy practice environment.
