General Dentist – Rochester, New York
Location: Rochester, NY
Position: Full-Time Permanent General Dentist
Patient Base: Primarily Adults
Office Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
An established private dental practice in the Rochester, New York area is seeking a Full-Time General Dentist to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a dentist looking for a long-term position with an established patient base, experienced support staff, and the ability to provide a broad range of general dentistry.
Position Highlights
- Full-Time, Permanent Opportunity
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Primarily adult patients, with few pediatric patients
- Approximately 8–10 patients per day
- Established patient base
- Experienced support team
- 2 Dental Assistants
- Office Manager
- Treatment Coordinator
- 2 Hygienists
- EMR/Practice Management System: XL Dent
- Medicaid and Medicare patients accepted
- Opportunity to perform advanced procedures and implants
- Case-by-case referral options for procedures outside the dentist’s scope
Clinical Responsibilities
The ideal candidate should be comfortable providing comprehensive general dentistry, including:
- Fillings
- Extractions
- Root Canals
- Basic restorative dentistry
- Comprehensive general dentistry
- Advanced procedures and implants, depending on experience
Compensation
- Daily guarantee and/or percentage of collections — whichever is greater
- Approximately 30–35% of collections
- Compensation structure is negotiable based on experience and production
- Sign-on bonus available — negotiable
- Relocation assistance available — negotiable
Requirements
- DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school
- Active New York dental license
- Ability to provide general dentistry independently
- Comfortable treating primarily adult patients
- Medicaid number is not currently required, although one may need to be obtained
- Strong clinical and communication skills
