DocCafe is currently seeking a qualified General Dentist for an exciting opportunity in Elmira, New York. This position offers a flexible schedule, competitive compensation, and the opportunity to provide comprehensive dental care in a collaborative healthcare environment.
Position Details
- Location: Elmira, NY

- Start Date: ASAP upon credentialing
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM OR Four 10-hour shifts
- Compensation: Competitive rates with weekly pay
- Employment Type: Contract
Requirements
- Active New York Dental License
- Current DEA Registration
- Current BLS Certification
- Ability to start upon successful credentialing
Responsibilities
The General Dentist will provide comprehensive dental services, including but not limited to:
- Examining teeth and oral structures using X-rays, mirrors, and diagnostic instruments to identify abnormalities and treatment needs
- Diagnosing and treating dental diseases, oral injuries, and periodontal conditions
- Performing restorative procedures, including treatment of simple and complex cavities
- Conducting single and multiple tooth extractions
- Providing scaling and other preventive dental treatments
- Diagnosing and treating infections of the teeth, mouth, and gums through medication and/or surgical intervention
- Educating patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and overall dental health
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of all patient care and treatment plans
- Evaluating patients for crowns, bridges, dentures, and other prosthetic appliances
- Taking impressions and bite registrations and fitting final dental appliances
- Supervising and providing guidance to dental assistants, hygienists, and other support staff
- Participating in staff education and training activities as needed
