The Opportunity

ICON Dental is seeking an experienced General Dentist for locum coverage in Jacksonville, North Carolina. This opportunity is ideal for a kind, team-oriented provider with strong communication skills who is comfortable working efficiently in a busy general dentistry setting.

The provider will primarily handle hygiene checks and operative dentistry while working across two staggered treatment columns. The practice strongly encourages same-day treatment conversions. Experience with endodontics, oral surgery, and implants is a significant plus.

What You’ll Do

• Perform general and operative dentistry
• Complete hygiene checks
• Manage two staggered treatment columns
• Diagnose treatment needs and provide patient-focused care
• Complete same-day treatment when clinically appropriate
• Work collaboratively with the clinical and support team
• Endodontics, oral surgery, and implant experience are highly valued

Ideal Provider

• DDS or DMD
• Active North Carolina dental license
• General dentistry experience
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Kind, dependable, and comfortable in a busy practice
• Comfortable with hygiene checks and operative procedures
• Endo, oral surgery, and implant skills are a strong plus
