I hope you're doing well. I wanted to reach out regarding a Dentist opportunity with the Colorado Department of Corrections (CDOC) that may be of interest to you.

This is a 26-week contract assignment providing comprehensive dental care to adult patients within a well-established correctional healthcare system. CDOC operates similarly to a community health network, offering providers the opportunity to focus on delivering quality patient care while serving a diverse and medically complex population.

Position Highlights

  • Position: Dentist (DDS/DMD)
  • Location: Colorado Department of Corrections
  • Contract Length: 26 Weeks
  • Start Date: ASAP Upon Credentialing
  • Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Patient Population: Adult incarcerated individuals (18+)
  • Primary Responsibilities: Dental evaluations, routine checkups, preventive care, diagnosis and treatment of oral health conditions, and patient education
  • Interview Process: Google Meet interview with the Health Services Administrator (HSA)

Commute

  • Travel Providers (200+ miles from facility)
  • Local Providers (within 200 miles)


Requirements

  • DDS or DMD degree from an accredited institution
  • Active dental license in good standing
  • Clean background history
  • Minimum one year of experience preferred
  • Compliance with all federal, state, and professional practice requirements
  • Current CPR certification and other health requirements as applicable

Additional Information

  • Paid pre-hire online training
  • Fingerprinting required before orientation
  • Four-day Defensive Tactics course required in Colorado Springs prior to beginning assignment
  • Business-casual professional attire required (facility dress code restrictions apply)
