General Dentist (2-3 Month Assignment) | Abilene, TX

Our client seeks a dedicated locum tenens dentist to cover a temporary medical leave in a welcoming, modern clinical setting. Located in Abilene, Texas, the practice offers a laid-back environment paired with state-of-the-art equipment designed to keep daily operations running smoothly.

The incoming dentist will be supported by a highly efficient team consisting of one hygienist, one assistant, one floater, and one front desk staff member to ensure a streamlined workflow.

The Role:

• Schedule: Monday and Tuesday, with a chance of adding Wednesday
• Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Patient Volume: 16-20 patients per day, including hygiene exams
• Clinical Scope: Bread-and-butter procedures, simple extractions, fillings, comprehensive and limited oral evaluations, and CEREC crowns; endodontics can be performed or referred out as preferred
• Tech Stack: Dentrix Ascend charting software and up-to-date modern equipment
• Preferred Skills: Comfortable handling routine restorative cases independently while maintaining a steady pace
• Compensation: Competitive pay rate + comprehensive malpractice insurance coverage, with lodging and mileage provided for traveling candidates

What is Needed:

• Credentials: Active Texas Dental License, current BLS certification, and DEA registration preferred
• Onboarding: 1-2 week fast-track onboarding timeframe
• Practice Fit: An independent professional who can seamlessly step in, deliver quality care, and keep the clinic humming during the owner's absence
