Job Description:
We are seeking a dentist to deliver essential care to an adult correctional population with significant unmet oral health needs. The role requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and professionalism while working within a secure healthcare environment. Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive dental examinations, diagnoses, and treatment for an adult correctional patient population.
- Plan, organize, and direct daily operations of the dental program.
- Supervise and support professional and paraprofessional dental staff.
- Consult on complex or acute dental cases and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Coordinate dental care with medical, mental health, and other clinical departments.
- Maintain complete, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation.
- Manage dental equipment, supplies, inventory, and program resources.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff training, and development of departmental policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental program.
- Active New York dental license in good standing.
- Minimum of one year of clinical dentistry experience preferred.
- Current BLS certification and active DEA registration.
