Job Description
Our client in North Carolina is actively seeking an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon for a 124-day assignment commencing Oct 19, 2026. This position involves performing a comprehensive scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery procedures, with typical shifts running from approximately 8 AM to 5 PM. The successful Dentist will provide vital coverage, demonstrating flexibility to support various practice locations and managing a diverse range of cases, from routine extractions to complex implant placements and treatment of facial trauma.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery procedures, including:
- Simple and Surgical Extractions
- Wisdom Teeth / Impacted Tooth Removal
- Dental Implant Placement
- Bone Grafting
- Alveoloplasty
- Incision and Drainage of Dental Abscesses
- Biopsies / Oral Lesion Removal
- Frenectomy
- Exposure and Bonding of Impacted Teeth
- Pre-Prosthetic Surgery
- Treatment of Facial/Dental Trauma
- Cyst Removal / Enucleation
- Sinus Lifts
- Apicoectomy
- Administer IV Sedation / General Anesthesia
- Provide care for Medicaid patients
Additional Information
- Board Certification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is required.
- EMR: Dentrix.
- The ideal candidate will be comfortable traveling between practice locations based on scheduling and coverage needs.
