I’m currently working with a well-established Family Dental practice that is actively seeking a Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon for a permanent opportunity in Carrollton, Georgia. Position Overview

Current office hours are Tues-Fri 7a-3p.

How many assistants per doctor: Typically 2, sometimes 3. EFDA's

How many other OMS/doctors are there: This would be our sole oral surgeon. We currently have one general dentist and one periodontist, with plans to add an endodontist in the near future.

How many operatories: 7.

How many procedures daily (avg): We anticipate approximately 4–12 patients daily between consultations and surgeries, depending on the schedule and complexity of procedures. Ideally, we'd like to maintain a full, productive schedule of 8–12 patients.

How many consults daily (avg): Will confirm the anticipated breakdown between consultations and procedures.

How many insurances are accepted: We accept PPO insurance plans. I'll confirm the number of participating plans.

Any HMO/Medicaid: No HMO, DMO, or Medicaid at this time.

Estimated daily production: Will need to confirm. We are looking for a highly productive oral surgeon who is motivated to build a strong practice.

Estimated yearly production: Will need to confirm but 500-1mil.

Will they be paid based on collections or adjusted production: Adjusted production.

Who assists with IV sedation: A properly certified dental assistant would assist with IV sedation.

Will they have access to a local hospital and, if so, what level trauma center is it: We have a dedicated surgical suite within our practice where procedures would be performed.

Guaranteed salary (range): We anticipate annual earning potential in the $500,000–$1,000,000 range, depending on production.

% of collections or adjusted production offered (range): Typically 40–50% of adjusted production, depending on experience and the overall agreement.

1099 or W-2 position: We are flexible and open to either arrangement.

What benefits are offered: For W-2 employees, we offer health insurance, vision insurance, and a 401(k) with company match. We also offer a $1,000 annual continuing education allowance. Malpractice insurance is not covered. We would consider a sign-on bonus in the $5,000–$10,000 range, depending on the candidate and agreement. Relocation assistance would need to be discussed.

Reason the position is open: We recently acquired this practice and are expanding it into a state-of-the-art multispecialty dental clinic in the heart of Buckhead, Atlanta.
