We currently offer a full scope of pediatric dental services (preventive, restorative, sedation, special needs) and orthodontics (braces, aligners) to our young patient community.
Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated, skilled Orthodontic Associate to join our team in a full-time capacity. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and teens, bring clinical excellence, and contribute to a supportive team environment. This role includes providing comprehensive orthodontic care (traditional braces, clear aligners, interceptive treatment, retainers), collaborating with the pediatric dental team, and participating in the growth of our orthodontic services.
Key Responsibilities

Diagnose, plan, and provide orthodontic treatment for pediatric and adolescent patients (e.g. fixed appliances, removable appliances, clear aligners, growth modification).

Perform consultations, progress checks, treatment adjustments, retention, and follow-ups.

Collaborate with the broader dental team (pediatric dentists, hygienists, assistants) to integrate orthodontic treatment into comprehensive care plans.
- Support practice growth by contributing to patient referrals, marketing efforts, and outreach when desired.

Uphold a positive, friendly, and child-centered atmosphere consistent with The Smile Lodge brand.
Qualifications & Skills

Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.

Completed accredited orthodontic specialty training

Valid license to practice dentistry/orthodontics in New York State (or ability to obtain).
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient education skills (especially with children and families).
