This opportunity is with a well-established, financially sound dental practice that offers a collaborative and well-supported clinical environment, focused on high-quality pediatric dental care.

Salary and Benefits

• W2 employment only
• Daily guarantee of $1,200 for the first 90 days, then 34% of adjusted production (whichever is greater)
• Perpetual daily rate of $800 available after 90 days if preferred
• Reimbursement for malpractice insurance
• Reimbursement for required licenses
• Up to $2,000 CE reimbursement annually (pre-approval required; travel not covered)
• Employer-paid long-term disability insurance (benefit up to 60% capped at $200,000)
• Health insurance available with employer contribution
• Dental and vision insurance
• AD&D and short-term disability insurance available
• 401(k) retirement plan offered
• No PTO or holiday pay (dentists classed out)

Responsibilities

• Work Monday–Friday, 4–5 days per week
• Treat 8–20 pediatric patients daily, depending on provider’s comfort and pace
• Perform a full scope of pediatric dental procedures, including in-office oral conscious sedation (OCS) 1–2 days per week
• Participate in 2–3 hospital days per month for heavy restorative cases
• Collaborate with two general dentists and a hygienist seeing older children
• Supported by 2 assistants per doctor plus a floating assistant
• Utilize EFDAs in hygiene and advanced digital equipment, including intraoral sensors, portable x-ray unit, and 2D panoramic imaging
• Operate with Dentrix Enterprise and Dexis 9 (OpenDental migration planned)

Requirements

• DMD or DDS degree from an accredited dental school
• Louisiana dental license
• Board eligibility or certification in Pediatric Dentistry
• Experience or comfort with OCS and hospital-based dentistry preferred
