Private Practice seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Associate Periodontist to join our established specialty practice. Position Overview
The Associate Periodontist will be responsible for the diagnosis, treatment planning, and surgical/non-surgical management of all aspects of periodontal disease and related conditions. The role requires a comprehensive skill set, including a healthy mix of dental implants, conventional periodontal treatment, laser periodontal therapy, and soft tissue grafting. The associate will work closely with our existing team of professionals to ensure a seamless and positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Care:
- Perform a wide range of periodontal procedures, including:
- Dental Implants: Surgical placement, bone grafting, and prosthetic restorations.
- Conventional Periodontal Treatment: Scaling and root planing, osseous surgery, and regenerative procedures.
- Laser Periodontal Treatment: Utilization of laser technology for various periodontal therapies.
- Soft Tissue Grafting: Connective tissue and free gingival grafts.
- Administer and manage IV conscious sedation for patient comfort and safety.
- Conduct thorough patient examinations, assessments, and diagnostic procedures.
- Develop and present comprehensive, evidence-based treatment plans to patients.
- Maintain meticulous and accurate patient records.
- Perform a wide range of periodontal procedures, including:
- Practice Operations:
- Collaborate with the existing team, including other periodontists, hygienists, and support staff, to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality care.
- Adhere to all practice policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Participate in continuing education to stay current with the latest advancements in periodontics.
- Engage in collaborative case planning with referring dentists to foster strong relationships.
- Help run and lecture at our existing hygiene and doctor study clubs.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- DDS/DMD degree or equivalent.
- Completion of an ADA accredited Periodontics Residency program.
- Current and unrestricted state dental license.
- Valid IV conscious sedation permit.
- Proven experience in a wide range of periodontal procedures, including implants, laser therapy, and grafting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong commitment to patient education and comfort.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Schedule & Compensation
- Work Schedule: This is a full-time position requiring the associate to be available to work 184 days per year (4 day work week)
- Compensation: Competitive compensation package based on experience and qualifications, including a potential for production-based bonuses.
