Job Description

Our HR Coordinator position performs a variety of human resource activities for all SALT practices, including new hire onboarding, orientation, personnel file maintenance, policy compliance, performance management, recruiting, and assist department in carrying out various human resource programs and procedures for all company employees.

  • Administer full employee lifecycle changes including employee onboarding, job changes, and terminations.
  • Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions. Act as a trusted advisor on benefits and company policies and procedures.
  • Administer full employee lifecycle changes in our HRIS.
  • Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation, completes E-Verify reporting, and maintains compliance.
  • Assist in benefits orientations and explain benefits self-enrollment system.
  • Completes verifications of employment.
  • Maintains electronic files for new hires, active and terminated employees.
  • Ability to be efficient, maintain poise and professionalism in high pressure situations.
  • Assist Recruiting efforts through ad placement and sourcing candidates as needed.
  • Maintain personnel lists, filing and systems for record keeping of team member data and benefits information; Ensures that human resources files and records are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and Company policies and procedures.
  • Assists with administration of the performance management process.
  • Updates the HR internal process and procedures documents as needed.
  • Work closely with the HR team to handle the daily needs of the employees at a growing company.
  • Collaborate with department managers to update and create job descriptions as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, and current employment laws and regulations, including legislation that may impact operations.
  • Drive the development and implementation of employee engagement and community involvement initiatives.
  • Deliver quality customer service to all team members, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Perform all assigned duties in compliance with internal SOPs and external regulations.
  • Assist in ad-hoc HR projects as needed.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications and Skills:

  • Must have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills needed
  • The qualified candidate will be detail-oriented, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, professional, and able to exercise proper judgment
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of Human Resource experience required
  • Experience with HRMS/HRIS systems, specifically ADP Workforce Now experience is a plus
  • Strong MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills required

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related area - Preferred
  • Compensation range of $45,000 - $50,000 depending on experience
