Job Description
Position: Billing/Customer Service
Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL
Shift: 8A-4:30P (40 hours per week)
Job Information
- Answer all incoming calls, determines their needs and provides assistance.
- Answers incoming calls from patients, guarantors, insurance companies, physicians and attorneys, promptly and courteously.
- Addresses and resolves the patient and third party questions and concerns in an efficient, prompt and courteous manner.
- Handles, timely and efficiently, all requests from patients and third parties (i.e. sending UB92’s and itemized bills, submit billing request to Billing/Collection staff, processing as per policy/procedures, adjustments and allowances to patients accounts).
- Analyzes patient’s accounts to determine solution to customer inquiry/complaint.
- Researches and resolves phone, mail, e-mail inquiries.
- Interacts with other Patient Financial Services areas in a professional manner to resolve account issues.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Customer service experience
- Coding knowledge for all specialties.
- Ability to understand coding guideline
