Job Description
Dental Hygienist
Practice Setting: Private dental practice
Scheduled Hours: Tuesday–Thursday weekly; one Monday per month
- Daily Schedule: Morning huddle at 7:45 a.m.; last patient scheduled at 4:00 p.m.
Start Date: ASAP
Patient Demographics: Primarily adult patients
Schedule & Volume: One column; approximately one patient per hour
Clinical Focus: Preventive oral health care, including comprehensive patient assessment, periodontal therapy, dental prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, periodontal maintenance, fluoride treatments, dental radiographs, and administration of local anesthesia (required).
Support Team: Works under the general supervision of the dentist/owner. During the initial onboarding period, the hygienist will receive closer collaboration and feedback to ensure alignment with practice standards and quality of care. As proficiency and consistency are demonstrated, the role transitions to a more independent workflow.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly rate: $65–$68/hour
