Permanent Licensed Dental Assistant Opportunity – Mankato, MN
We’re seeking a Licensed Dental Assistant for permanent placement in Mankato, MN. Help provide professional, patient-centered dental care in a collaborative environment. In this role, you’ll work alongside dental providers and hygienists to support procedures, educate patients, and help ensure an efficient and positive experience throughout each visit.
Dates: ASAP-ongoing
Schedule: Clinic is open M-F; from 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.; LDAs typically work 4 10-hour shifts
Pay: $28.97 - $36.35/hour
What You’ll Do
- Provide chair-side assistance to dental providers and hygienists during treatment.
- Prepare materials, instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms for dental procedures.
- Review patient health histories and chief complaints and communicate findings to the provider or hygienist.
- Help patients understand procedures and provide education on proper dental hygiene and care.
- Complete dental charting and accurately maintain patient information in Dentrix.
- Follow established safety, infection-control, sterilization, disinfection, and OSHA procedures.
- Clean and prepare treatment rooms and maintain dental instruments, supplies, and equipment.
- Support dental assisting and hygiene student rotations as a positive and professional role model.
- Collaborate with team members across departments to help patients access appropriate services and resources.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and organizational policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Bring
- Diploma or degree in Dental Assisting.
- Current Minnesota dental assistant registration/license.
- Ability to maintain required licensure and CPR certification.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Excellent organization and time-management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Professional judgment and the ability to remain composed in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
