General Dentist
Location: New Orleans, LA
Proxi Dental Staffing is seeking a General Dentist for an FQHC in New Orleans starting Mid-May to late June. This opportunity is perfect for a compassionate and mission-driven provider who is looking to give back to an undeserved patient population.
Position Details:
- Schedule: Monday-Friday from 8a-5p; Lunch from 12p-1p
- Patients: Sees all ages; treats ages 5+; 15-25 ppd
- Clinical Scope: Comprehensive general dentistry (full scope) — plan and provide care for majority under-served population
- They may complete treatment already planned by the regular provider or manage new patient needs that arise during coverage.
- Support Staff: 2 dental assistants, Clinic Practice Manager
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive hourly rates
- We're open to discussing pay based on your skills and qualifications for this role.
- Travel and lodging provided
Qualifications:
- DDS/DMD from accredited program
- Clean background strongly preferred
- Not eligible for H1B sponsorship
- Minimum 3 years experience preferred
- Must be willing to supervise dental residents
- Community Healthcare Experience preferred
- Medicare/Medicaid Enrollment: Strongly Preferred
- CPR: BLS required
- Must have Louisiana license and CDS
- Spanish-speaking is a plus but not required
